Children in nursery garden

Our Nursery

At the heart of our services is our Nursery School which has an excellent reputation for the quality of the education it provides. It was rated as ‘Outstanding’ in its most recent (2009) OFSTED inspection. The Nursery offers a welcoming, secure and stimulating learning environment where all children are encouraged to achieve their individual potential by active exploration and discovery through play.

The Nursery is a community school for children aged 3 to 5 years. We give priority to children who live nearby the school, or have brothers or sisters who have attended, or have a particular educational, medical or social need. Each child has a key worker who will visit you at home and get to know you and your child.

There are 60 part-time places during school term time. These places are free for children eligible for the Nursery Education Grant. Morning sessions are 9.15am – 11.45am, the afternoon session runs from 12.45pm – 3.15pm.

In addition we now offer 15 places offering quality education and care from 8am until 6pm for 48 weeks of the year. Parents may be entitled to support with the additional costs. We can advise you on this.
