Activities

We offer lots of different activities at the Centre for families (Mums, Dads, Grandparents, parents-to-be, childminders and young children). The timetable varies throughout the year but includes:

Twins Club (0-5 years)
An opportunity for parents of twins (or triplets) to meet others and share experiences whilst children play. Parents -to-be expecting twins also welcome.

Dads R Us (0-5 years, older siblings welcome)
A group that meets on Saturday mornings, where Dads and male carers can have quality time with their children whilst meeting up with other local Dads.

Young P Group (for parents under the age of 25)
Come and meet other young parents and take part in shared activities.

Friday Group
This is a support group for parents of children with additional needs to meet each other, share experiences and find out about local support services. Crèche available.

Buddies café
A place for breastfeeding mums to meet, share experiences and get support from others and our breastfeeding counsellor.

Physical Play (0-3 years)
A play session to give your babies and toddlers the opportunities to crawl, balance, spin and explore.

Under 1’s and new baby group
Babies learn to develop their senses through a wide range of age appropriate toys and resources. You can meet other parents and also get advice from staff on accident prevention, first aid, finding childcare and so on.

Stay and Play (0-5 years)
A chance for young children to mix with others and learn through play activities. The session provides a choice of toys, outside space with water and sand play, art activities and a group singsong at the end. 

Storytime (0-5 years)
Lots of stories, action songs and nursery rhymes (with puppets). Come and listen or join in.

Other activities
We also run sessions on: first aid, gardening, parenting and children’s language development. Plus, activities for families with older children during school holidays (see newletter, timetable and flyers below for details)
